SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo junior Colett Rampf was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Cross Country/Track Academic All-District team, when the full list of Academic All-District teams was released Thursday.

Rampf, who was a CoSIDA Second Team Academic All-America selection a year ago, earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-America honors at the 2016 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships after finishing 14th overall with a time of 20:57.7. She won the 2016 NCAA South Region Cross Country Championship, the second straight year she had accomplished the feat, after crossing the line in 21:54.58 – over 32 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

Rampf captured the Sunshine State Conference Cross Country Championship individual title for the third consecutive year, and also earned her third straight SSC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year award.

During the 2016 cross country season, Rampf set new Saint Leo records at the 5K (17:32.04, UF Mountain Dew Invitational) and 6K (20:22.6, Lehigh Paul Short Run) distances.

Rampf also captured USTFCCCA All-America honors at the 2016 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships, after finishing fifth overall with a time of 10:23.86. She qualified for this weekend's 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championship in both the 3000m steeplechase and the 5000m run.

The 2016-17 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Women's Track/Cross Country Academic All-District teams are selected by the districts' sports information directors to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

The Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
