Rampf earns her 10th SSC Runner of the Week award

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo women's cross country runner Colett Rampf earned Sunshine State Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for the 10th time in her career on Monday, after finishing first among 145 non-Division I runners at Saturday's University of Florida Mountain Dew Invitational.

Rampf ran a time of 17:32.04 on the UF course, setting a new Saint Leo 5K record in the process. She crossed the line fifth overall in a field of 268 runners.

The individual win among non-Division I runners helped lead Saint Leo to the team championship of the Mountain Dew Invitational, with Lions finishing first out of 16 teams in the field.

The SSC Runner of the Week award is the 10th for Rampf in her three-year career at Saint Leo. The native of Premnitz, Germany, captured the honor four times during both her 2014 rookie season and her 2015 sophomore campaign.

The Lions' season continues this Saturday, Oct. 1, when they travel to Bethlehem, Pa., to race in the Lehigh University Paul Short Run.
