Women’s Cross Country Claims 14th At Mountain Dew Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's cross country team posted a 13th-place finish from the University of Florida's Mountain Dew Invitational, Saturday morning from University Golf Course. In total, the Lions collected 377 points during their 5K trek.

Continuing the outstanding start to her collegiate career, Tereza Novotna finished as the top Division II runner closing the race with a time of 18:47.54.

Novotna's 25th-place finish was not the only outstanding effort by the Lions as Jillian Browne continued to break the 20-minute barrier with a closing time of 19:58.85.

Lee Ann Antuna finished just outside the top-100 as she clocked in with a personal best time of 21:00.06.

Freshman Holly Blackburn finished six seconds back of Antuna, displaying a time of 21:06.86.

Meanwhile, Elyse Snyder and Kali Carney each registered times under 25 minutes. Snyder posted a time 24:25.54 and Carey crossed the tape at 24:48.99.

McKenzie Kaylor and Melissa Goldstein punctuated the Lions' morning with finishing times of 26:12.63 and 26:29.85, respectively.
