Mailoto Earns AVCA All-America Honorable Mention
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 33rd annual AVCA All-America teams for NCAA Division II women's volleyball, Wednesday from their national office. The Lions' Jaclyn Mailoto earned an honorable mention.
Mailoto, a setter who just completed her senior season with Saint Leo, received the AVCA All-America honorable mention for her success during the 2013 year. In her senior year alone, she tallied 1323 assists, while notching 111 kills and 225 digs. In addition, she currently ranks seventh in the nation in Division II with 11.92 assists per set, which also ranks first in the Sunshine State Conference. Her assists per set percentage this year also broke a Saint Leo all-time single season record.
Throughout her four years at Saint Leo, Mailoto has notched 3,222 assists, which ranks second in the Saint Leo record bookfor career assists. In addition, her career average of 8.57 assists per set ranks fourth in the Saint Leo all-time record book. During her freshman year, she was selected to the All-Sunshine State Conference Freshman Team.
Along with her most recent AVCA honor for her performance during the 2013 season, Mailoto was selected to the AVCA All-South Region team and the All-Sunshine State Conference First Team.
