Competed in 17 matches, appearing in 41 sets with the green and gold... Recorded 47 kills, averaging a 1.15 kills per set percentage... Registered 42 digs... Collected 10 service aces.
Hegg attended Appleton West HS…During her time as an AWHS ‘Terror’ she earned four varsity letters and served as team captain her junior and senior seasons…Playing under coach Stacey Foley, Hegg earned multiple accolades on the court including All-Conference and All-Area selections her sophomore, junior and senior seasons…She was also the team’s Most Valuable Player and a recipient of the J.J. Keller Foundation Scholarship…She also played for the Wisconsin Volleyball Academy club team under the direction of coach BJ Bryant.
Born December 16 in Neenah, Wisc…As she develops her student-athlete career she plans to major in Human Services…She lists three ‘favorite things in life’: Jesus Christ, volleyball and ice cream, and likes to spend time with her friends and family…While home, Hegg unwinds by spending time at a local coffee shop where she likes to write…An aspiring Social Worker, she likes being involved with people and has coaching interests in volleyball when her playing career concludes… She believes her communication and ability to encourage teammates are her best assets…Holds an adoration for Tim Tebow as her favorite athlete, not just for his “stunning good looks” but also for his integrity to his team and also for his strong faith…Lists her favorite team as the Pittsburg Steelers as it’s the only occasion when her “whole family really goes crazy and yells at the TV like you see in the commercials”…She chose Saint Leo because she loves what the school stands for and how everyone takes pride in the school…Daughter of Guy, a former football player for Ripon College; and Kim Hegg, a former volleyball player for Wisconsin-Green Bay…Has one brother, Ty, and one sister, Sidney.
