Women’s track earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honor

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's track team has been named a 2016-17 All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), for the squad's academic achievements during the season.

The Lions were one of 115 NCAA Division II women's track programs to receive the honor, for posting a 3.00-or-better team GPA during 2016-17. Saint Leo women's track finished the academic year with a 3.216 team GPA.

Saint Leo women's track was one of five programs in the Sunshine State Conference to earn the accolade, joining Florida Tech, Florida Southern, Nova Southeastern, and the University of Tampa. SSC provisional member Embry-Riddle was also recognized.
