Rampf takes seventh in 5000m at NCAA Championship

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo junior Colett Rampf earned All-America honors for the second time of the 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a seventh place finish in Saturday night's 5000m run at IMG Academy Field.

Rampf clocked a time of 16:36.83 in the event, running against many of the same competitors she had seen over the previous two days in the prelims and final of the 3000m steeplechase.

Western State's Alicja Konieczek, who won Friday night's steeplechase final, also captured the 5000m with a time of 16:24.22. Grand Valley State's Kendra Foley (16:26.52) and Mount Olive's Leah Hanle (16:27.24) took second and third respectively in the 5000m.
