Rampf leads women’s track at Tampa Classic

TAMPA, Fla. – Saint Leo junior Colett Rampf won the women's 5000m run to highlight Saint Leo results in Friday's University of Tampa Track Classic at Pepin Rood Stadium.

Rampf posted a time of 17:03.67 in the 5000m, winning the event by over a minute and showing an 11-second improvement over her seed time.

Sophomore Laura Tobin was third in the 5000m with a time of 18:19.54.

In the 800m run, Lauren Csubak posted a fourth-place finish after crossing the line in 2:24.63, while Haley Roussell finished sixth in the 800 with a time of 2:27.99. Cierra Gregory was fifth in the 200m dash with a time of 26.59 seconds.

Overall, Saint Leo finished fifth out of nine teams with 32 points.

The Saint Leo men's and women's track teams return to action on Friday, March 17, and Saturday, March 18, when they compete in the University of South Florida Bulls Invitational.
