DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Saint Leo junior Colett Rampf came away with a first place result in the first event of the day at Saturday's Embry-Riddle First Chance/Last Chance meet at the ERAU Track Complex.
Rampf won the women's 3000m run with a time of 9:49.18, beating her nearest competitor by over 30 seconds.
Rampf's win highlighted a day that saw several Saint Leo women post top 10 finishes.
Senior Natalie McCormick posted a time of 5:32.85 in the women's mile run, and was sixth overall.
Junior Lauren Csubak was fourth in the 1000m run, posting a time of 3:07.38.
Saint Leo recorded a pair of top 10 finishes in the 5000m run, with sophomore Laura Tobin finishing fourth in a time of 18:42.15. Freshman Fatima Abu-Rumman was ninth overall, crossing the line in 19:42.25
In the women's distance medley relay, Saint Leo's DMR team of Cierra Gregory, Csubak, Rampf, and McCormick finished first overall with a time of 12:37.81.
Saint Leo women's track returns to action on Friday, March 3, when the Lions travel to the University of Tampa for the UT Track Invitational.
