#29 women's tennis falls to #2 Lynn, 5-0

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No. 29 Saint Leo women's tennis team was topped by No. 2 Lynn, 5-0, on Friday morning in a Sunshine State Conference match.

Lynn opened up with a dominant 3-0 lead following doubles.

Marine Beugre-Guyot and Madeleine Gauthier fought the toughest battle, falling 8-5, at No. 1's. Lynn took Flight 2, 8-2, and swept Flight 3, 8-0.

In singles, Beugre-Guyot fell 6-0 in the first set of No. 1 single, and retired in the second, giving Lynn their fourth point.

The Fighting Knights clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-1 win on Flight No. 4.

Saint Leo finished the regular season at 9-6, 5-4 in the SSC. The Lions will be the No. 6 seed in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament on April 20-22 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
