Women’s Swimming Picks Up Wins over Florida Tech and Lynn

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's swim team claimed twin, much-needed Sunshine State Conference victories as the Lions earned a 131-119 triumph over Lynn and a 146-104 win over Florida Tech.

Nicole Weber picked up three victories, finishing atop the podium in the 50 Breaststroke (30.78), 100 Breatstroke (1:05.59) and the 100 Individual Medley (1:01.48) as she led the Lions in the dual victories.

Stephanie Martinez once again claimed victory for the Lions, picking up a win in the 200 Free with a time of  2:00.52.

The Saint Leo A relay team picked up a win in the 200 Free relay as the foursome of Bianca Muniz, Kaitlyn Hite, Paula Carvajal and Rachel Cunio finished with a combined time of 1:42.89.

As Saint Leo continues to build its resume for the Sunshine State Conference Championships and beyond, the Lions will host one more regular season event before the postseason begins. The Lions welcome Rollins into the Bowman Pool for a 1 p.m. meet.  The meet will also serve as Senior Day, where the Lions will recognize their outgoing senior class.
