SAINT LEO, Fla. - Saint Leo University Head Women's Soccer Coach Ged O'Connor will be hosting the 2013 SLUWSA Showcase ID Camp on the campus of Saint Leo University on December 14. The camp is open to all soccer female players in high school.
The ID program is designed to showcase potential college soccer players. Competing against other high school soccer players from around the country, the single day event will allow the player to participate and be evaluated by college coaches, in a college environment. All games will be played on University Soccer Field, Saint Leo University's game field.
In addition, at 2:00 p.m., participants will take part in a Q & A with the college coaches in attendance.
Topics will include:
• Academic areas of focus
• When/how to start the process
• Playing time
• NCAA Clearinghouse/Eligibility
College coaches from throughout Florida are already confirmed in attendance so you will get the opportunity to play in front of NCAA Division I through NJCAA coaches.
"This is an ideal way for the coaches from around the state to get to evaluate AND communicate with potential players in the Q and A session. We have a fantastic facility here that I want to show off to students, but I also want players to enjoy the experience they will have. If they have fun, they will perform better."
The registration fee is $75 per participant and space is limited to the first 100 players.
