Barbaresi Garners NSCAA All-America Honors

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – For the second-straight year, Saint Leo women's soccer midfielder Cassie Barbaresi has been named to the NSCAA All-America Third Team.

The Bradenton, Fla. native adds her All-America selection to her impressive list of 2011 accolades, including First Team Daktronics All-Region, Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Year award, and First Team All-Conference.

Barbaresi finished the season leading the team in assists with 10, and adding seven goals to her scoring tally, good for second best on the team in overall points with 24.  She notched one game-winning goal while helping the Lions pepper opponents with 295 shots and 147 shots on target, and was lethal from long range.  Starting 14 games and seeing time in 18, Barbaresi ranked third in the Sunshine State Conference in points, and fourth in assists.
