WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Saint Leo women's soccer team swept the Sunshine State Conference's Player of the Week honors on Monday as Jasmine Johnson and Laura Carstens earned Offensive and Defensive accolades, it was announced by SSC Commissioner Jay Jones.
After playing 110 minutes on defense in a 0-0 tie at Nova Southeastern, Johnson moved forward and factored in two goals to lift the No. 6 Lions to a 2-0 win over No. 10 Rollins. Facing the top-rated defense in Division II, Johnson assisted on the first goal scored against the Tars this season in the 18th minute of action. Just over two minutes later, she sealed the South Region win by scoring the second goal of the contest.
