Saint Leo, Fla. (November 10, 2007) - The Saint Leo University women's soccer team (15-4) will host the University of Montevallo (14-7) in an NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championship Second Round match on Sunday at University Field at 1:00 p.m. Montevallo advanced to the Second Round with a 2-0 win over No. 3 seed West Florida on Friday night at University Field. Saint Leo earned a first round bye and the opportunity to host by earning the No. 2 seed in the South Region.
The Lions will host the Falcons for the second time this season and the two teams will face each other for the first time ever in the post-season. Saint Leo won the earlier meeting between the two schools 2-0 on September 7. Overall, Saint Leo holds a 4-2-1 record in all-time meetings with Montevallo, and is unbeaten in the last five head-to-head matches.
Montevallo has won eight of its last nine matches, including the Gulf South Conference Tournament Championship. The Falcons scored both of their goals in the second half on Friday to upset No. 3 seed West Florida and advance to the second round. It was UM's second straight win over UWF in the two teams' third meeting in four matches overall.

The winner of Sunday’s match will advance to the Third Round and will face the winner of the match between top seed University of Tampa and No. 4 seed Ouachita Baptist University next week with location, time and date to be determined.
