However, Fort Lewis scored two straight to cut the Lions lead to just one. With just 49-seconds on the clock, Ferguson recorded her second goal, giving the Lions a two-goal lead into the half. Fort Lewis would add a free position goal before Katherine Larson added a free position goal for the Lions. The Skyhawks countered with a quick goal off the draw to make it 8-5 for the Lions. Emily Pittenger was fouled near the goal, and instead of using the FPA for herself, she found a wide open Caroline Fraser for the score. Abbie Ross then tacked on a free-position goal to increase the Saint Leo lead. The Skyhawks' Brooke Galle then recorded back-to-back goals before the Lions closed out the game with free position goals from Chrisco and Neely Regan.
