NCAA DIVISION II WOMEN'S GOLF REGIONAL RANKINGS

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo women's golf placed eighth in the updated NCAA South Region rankings, which were released Thursday.

The Lions, who finished sixth at the 2015 Sunshine State Conference Women's Golf Championship earlier this week, trail five other SSC teams in the regional poll.

Rollins College leads the South Region, followed by fellow SSC members Lynn, Nova Southeastern, and Florida Tech in the 2-3-4 spots. Flagler College, out of the Peach Belt Conference, is fifth in the South Region, followed by Barry. Gulf Coast Conference member West Florida is slotted seventh, just ahead of Saint Leo.

Both the Gulf South and the Peach Belt have yet to complete their conference tournaments.

The final NCAA South Region rankings will be released on Thursday, April 23, with the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Super Regional competition selections announced on Monday, April 27, at 3:00 p.m. on www.ncaa.com.

Nine teams, as well as four individuals not on those teams, will compete at the NCAA Division II Women's Golf South Super Regional, which will be held May 3-5, 2015, at the Savannah Quarters Country Club in Pooler, Ga. The three low teams, and three low individuals not on those teams, will advance to the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship, which will take place May 13-16, 2015, at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Mich.
