Women's Golf finishes 10th at Lady Moc Classic

LAKELAND, Fla. -- Led by Marie Coors, the Saint Leo women's golf team completed the 17th edition of the Lady Moc Classic Tuesday on the par 72, 6,085 yard Grasslands Golf and Country Club in Lakeland, Fla. The Lions finished 10th overall in the team standings.

Rollins captured the team title for the second time in six years. For the third time in Lady Moc Classic history, the two leaders tied after 36-holes of competition. Northwood's Elsa Westin was the individual champion after winning a scorecard tie-breaker. The tie was broken by looking at the 18th hole from round three, where each player scored a five on the par-5. The second tie-breaker was to add up the final three holes and Westin carded a three-hole 14 while Johanna Larsson turned in a three-hole score of 15.

The Lions were led by Marie Coors with a three-round score of 234 (78-77-79) and tied for 28th. Vilde Eriksen did not compete in the third round.

Saint Leo will take a brief hiatus but returns to the links March 2-3 at the Lady Pirate Invitational hosted by Armstrong State in Savannah, Ga.
