Connolly earns her first career Golfer of the Week honor
SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo University women's golf standout Clare Connolly has been recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Women's Golfer of the Week presented by VALIC.
Connolly, who hails from Chevy Chase, Md., finished in first place at the University of West Florida Argonaut Invitational by three strokes over the second-place finisher. Connolly shot a 226, finishing with a third-round 73 to win the tournament after sitting in second after the first (77) and second round (76). The Lions finished second as a team with a score of 947.
Saint Leo will get back to action April 13-15 when it takes part in the Sunshine State Conference championships at Lake Jovita Country Club.
