Manigrasso Selected to Daktronics Second Team All-South Region

CLEVELAND, Miss. – Saint Leo junior guard Teresa Manigrasso was selected to the Daktronics All-South Region Second Team, it was announced Thursday afternoon. Manigrasso and the Lions just finished up an impressive run all the way to the finals of the Sunshine State Conference Tournament and just one win short of an NCAA Tournament berth.

The All-South Region Second Team consisted of four Sunshine State Conference players. Joining Manigrasso was Kayk Wilson of Florida Tech, Eckerd's Krystal Charles, and Danielle Robinson of Nova Southeastern.

Manigrasso led the Lions to one of the best seasons in program history—setting a program record for conference wins in a season an appearance in the Sunshine State Conference tournament championship for the first time ever.

The Atlantic Highlands, N.J. native came to Saint Leo for her junior season by way of St. Peter's College. In her first season in the Green and Gold Manigrasso led the team in scoring with 15.6 points per game. While playing an impressive 37.5 minutes per game Manigrasso also averaged 3.0 assists per game. Manigrasso scored in double-figured in 24 of the Lions 29 games this season and finished among the top five scorers in the SSC.

Lynn's Kira Harvey was selected as the Daktronics South Region Player of the Year. In their most recent matchup, Manigrasso shot 6-of-9 from the field compared to 5-for-18 for Harvey en route the Lions' 68-50 rout of favored Lynn.

After two wins over Lynn and Tampa in the conference tournament Manigrasso was selected to the Sunshine State Conference All-Tournament team.
