Gellock Selected Newest Women’s Basketball Assistant

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Head Women's Basketball Coach Nikki Jessee has announced Jennifer Gellock as the team's newest assistant, it was announced Wednesday. Coming to the Lions via the University of Tampa, Gellock spent four years as an assistant with the Spartans' nationally-ranked women's basketball program.

"Jen is a great addition to our staff," said Jessee. "I had the privilege of working with her for two years at Tampa, and I saw firsthand her work ethic, dedication, and desire to be successful.  We want winners to be a part of our program and Jen is a winner.  I look forward to having her on our staff as we continue to move this program forward." 

Gellock, who graduated with a degree in Exercise Science and Sport Studies, will officially begin her duties on July 2 and will be in command of guard development, recruiting, film editing, team managers, travel assignments, and basketball camps.

Gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience with Sunshine State Conference opponent Tampa, Gellock assisted the Spartans to an 84-35 record over four seasons, seeing two SSC regular season championships, one SSC Tournament title, and three NCAA appearances during her tenure.

Graduating with the Deans' Scholarship, Gellock graduated Kappa Delta Pi: International Honor Society in Education, and a 3.53 grade-point-average.
