LAKELAND, Fla. - Trying to rebound from a rough weekend, the Saint Leo University volleyball team got no help as they ran into 10th-ranked Florida Southern College in Sunshine State Conference action.  The Mocs downed the Lions 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-23) on Tuesday night at Jenkins Field House.  The win improved FSC's record to 15-4, 5-1 SSC while Saint Leo suffered their third-straight loss and fell to 18-6, 2-5 SSC.

After falling in the first two sets by decisive margins, the Lions jumped out to a 7-0 at the start of set three.  They opened up the lead to 18-11, but, in a style typical of the Lions' luck as of late, saw the Mocs go on an 8-1 run to tie the set at 19-19.  After taking the tie to 21, Florida Southern posted two consecutive kills and managed to carry that lead through the remainder.

The Lions saw two players hit .400 with sophomore Kaitlin McKenna, who went 7-for-15 with one attack error, and freshman Danielle Bletso who was 3-for-5 with an error.

The Lions will try to snap the losing streak as they head to Arkadelphia, Arkansas this weekend to play in the Henderson State Tournament.  Their first game pits them against Harding on Friday at 5:00 p.m. EST.
