Saint Leo, Fla. (September 25, 2007) – The Saint Leo University volleyball team (14-5, 1-2 SSC) fell 3-0 to No. 9 Florida Southern College (14-3, 2-1 SSC) on Tuesday night in a Sunshine State Conference match at the Marion Bowman Activities Center.  The Mocs improved to 57-0 all-time against the Lions with game scores of 30-15, 30-25, 30-22.

Saint Leo was led by Kaitlin McKenna (Fr., Farmington Hills, Mich.) who had 10 kills and hit .571.  The duo of Beverly Stasis and Jennifer King led the Mocs to the win with 15 and 10 kills, respectively.  FSC hit .368 as a team, while Saint Leo hit .174.

Southern took control of the match early, as the visitors won game one 30-15.  Saint Leo battled in game two, but still came up on the short end in a 30-25.  The Lions enjoyed their only two leads of the match in game three; however, FSC wrapped up the three-game sweep with a 30-22 win.

Saint Leo returns to action on Thursday night with a home match against Palm Beach Atlantic University.  The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Bowman Center.
