SAINT LEO, Fla. – The ninth-ranked Saint Leo softball team appeared at No. 1 in the South Region after the first regional rankings were released on Wednesday, April 19 by the NCAA Division II Softball Committee.

The Lions (34-10, 15-6 SSC) hold a 28-7 record for their Division II in-region record and were joined by Tampa, No. 8, as the two Sunshine State Conference representatives. Palm Beach Atlantic, an SSC provisional member, was ranked 10th in the first rankings. The Lions held an 8-1 record in their in-region non-conference win/loss record.
