Kelly made an immediate impact in the pitching circle for SLU appearing in 24 games and making 20 starts…The freshman threw 105 and two-thirds innings while striking 62 batters and allowing only 36 earned runs…She concluded the year with a 2.38 ERA, had eight complete games and three shutouts en route to a 9-5 overall record…In 13 of her 24 appearances, Kelly did not surrender a single earned run…In her best performance of the season, Kelly threw 7.0 innings in a 3-1 defeat of SSC rival Rollins (02/28/09), allowing just one run (zero earned) on five hits and striking out a season-best six Tars…She also allowed a season-low two hits  and no runs in a 3-0 victory over Lander College (03/07/09)…She collected her first collegiate win against Webber (02/11/09).

Kelly was named first team Western Conference her sophomore year at Bloomingdale HS…She was also named to the All-County team…She finished her senior season being named to the Western Conference first team.
