SAINT LEO, Fla. – Just one day after being named to the Daktronics All-Region Second Team, softball senior outfielder Tiffinee Harvey was tabbed National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-South Region Second Team, it was announced Thursday afternoon by the NFCA headquarters. It marks her third postseason award.

Joining Harvey on the distinct list were eight other members from the Sunshine State Conference, including Pitcher of the Year, Kirsten Frame (Rollins).

Harvey had a stellar season for the Green & Gold, starting in all 53 games. She led the squad in hitting, posting a .383 batting average, while collecting a team-best 64 hits. In fact, Harvey was the team leader in numerous offensive categories including, slugging percentage (.737), on-base percentage (.452), and runs scored with 40.

The Lakeland, Fla. native finished her two-year stint as a Lion with 43 doubles, 15 home runs, 58 RBI, and a was .345 lifetime hitter.

NFCA member coaches in each of the eight regions vote for the Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Region teams and all honorees are now eligible to be selected to one of three All-American teams.

The 2010 Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-American teams will be announced at the 2010 NCAA Banquet of Champions at the Fulkerson Center on the campus of Missouri Western University in St. Joseph, Mo., on Wednesday night, May 26. The entire list of 2010 All-Americans, and its accompanying release, will be placed on NFCA.org later that evening.
