Saint Leo, Fla. (April 20, 2007) – The Saint Leo University softball team (28-20, 10-8 SSC) scored both of its runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally for a 2-1 win over visiting University of Tampa (28-16, 13-6 SSC) Friday night.

Christina Van Tassel (Sr., Valparaiso, Fla.) tied the game with a leadoff home run in the seventh, and a bases loaded walk scored Ashley Urbanik (So., Riverview, Fla.) with the game-winning run later in the inning.

Tampa had opened the scoring in the first inning, but Urbanik allowed just four more hits in the closing six innings to pick up her 19th win of the year (19-10).  The Lions got three of their four hits for the night in the seventh inning, as part of their rally.

UT reliever Krystal Crooks was the losing pitcher, as she allowed the two runs in the seventh to fall to 4-1 on the season.

The same two teams will meet tomorrow in a doubleheader at University Field.  Game one is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
