Men's Tennis earns NCAA South Region No. 5 Seed

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's tennis team was picked as the No. 5 Seed in the NCAA South Region and will take on No. 4 Seed Lynn on Saturday, April 29 at No. 1 Seed West Florida in Pensacola, Fla., on Saturday, April 29.

The Lions are 13-4 on the season and finished second in the Sunshine State Conference with a 6-1 record.

Saint Leo will face Lynn for the third time this season in just a matter of 15 days. In the first meeting on Friday, April 14, Saint Leo took the match, 5-4, to finish the regular season with a 6-1 SSC record and a second-place finish. On Friday, April 21, the two teams met in the SSC Semifinals with Lynn taking that match, 5-4, to play Barry in the Championship Match. Barry eventually won and took the automatic qualifier spot.  

No. 1 Seed West Florida will play the No. 8 Seed Benedict, the automatic qualifier from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Barry earned the No. 2 Seed in the South Region and will host the second South Regional. The Bucs will play No. 7 Seed North Alabama, while No. 3 Seed Valdosta State will face No. 6 Seed Rollins.
