Men's tennis stays at No. 2 in first ITA poll of regular season

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's tennis team held their national ranking in the first Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Men's DII National Rankings that were released on Wednesday, as they stayed at No. 2.

The Lions, who are currently 3-1, were picked No. 2 in the preseason rankings.

The Sunshine State Conference saw Saint Leo joined by No. 7 Barry, No. 8 Lynn, and provisional member Embry-Riddle at No. 10 in the latest poll.

In the first ITA South Region Ranking of the regular season, the Lions were placed No. 1 in the region.

Saint Leo returns to action on Friday, Feb. 24 with a 3 p.m. match versus St. Thomas (NAIA) at the Saint Leo Tennis Center.
