#7 Lions down #12 Midwestern State, 7-2
 DENVER, Colo. – The No. 7 Saint Leo men's tennis team rebounded from their first loss of the season to take down No. 12 Midwestern State, 7-2.

The Lions went 2-1 in doubles play as the No. 1 pairing of Alberto Barroso-Campos and Alex Theiler bounced back from their first loss of the season, to take down Kyle Davidson and Ramon Toyos, 8-3. Saint Leo added another point as Egor Panyushkin and Jaime Bueno teamed up in the No. 3 slot, winning in a battle, 9-8 (4). The Lions started doubles play down 1-0 after falling 8-1 in the No.2 slot.

Theiler gave the Lions a 3-1 lead with a swift take down of Toyos in the No. 2 singles, winning 6-2, 6-3.

Barroso-Campos fought in the No. 1 showdown, falling 6-7 (4), before coming back to win 7-5, 6-3.

Panyushkin also needed three set, falling 1-6 in the first, before responding with a 6-4, 7-6 (3) win. The Lions added two more points as both Oskar Nurmio and Fons Verberne won their matches. Nurmio took the No. 5 win, 7-6(4), 6-4, and Verberne took the No. 6 slot in comeback fashuib, 1-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9 in super tiebreak). 

Midwestern State added their second point taking the No. 4 match-up.

The Lions return to action on March 25 with a 2 p.m. showdown with NYIT.
