Quotes from Coach
"We fired on all cylinders today in doubles and singles. You very rarely see both doubles partners play well at the same time for an entire length of a match, but Fons and Egor happened to do it twice today. Their first serve percentage was extremely high and they dominated net play. When those two stats are efficient, it is tough to get beat. They both kept the momentum going into their singles match as well, displaying some of their best tennis I've witnessed. As for Alberto, we knew he had a tough task ahead of him going up against Georgia's top player, but not being able to convert on seven out of eight deuce points was the difference in the match. The match was much closer than the score indicated. Alex played up and down throughout his match, but he found a way to win without playing his best. Sometimes that's just as important as winning easily."

Day Three Draws

  • Verberne will play Georgia State's Joseph Bishop in the second round of the "Division III" consolation bracket.
  • Theiler will take on Walker Duncan of UGA in the second round of the "Division I" consolation bracket.
  • Panyushkin will take on Lachian McPhee from Georgia Gwinnett in the elite eight of the "Division II" bracket.
