Men's tennis garners No. 14 rank in ITA poll

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University men's tennis team has been tabbed the No. 14 team in the nation as per the first Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll for the approaching 2015 season.

The Lions compete in one of the toughest regions nationally, as five of the top-10 reside in the south region.  Reigning Division II national champs, West Florida occupy the top spot while Hawaii Pacific sits No. 2.

Sunshine State Conference foe Barry garnered a No. 3 showing while Concordia (N.Y.) and Armstrong State round out the top-5.  Regional opponents West Alabama and Valdosta State sit No. 9 and No. 10 respectively, while SSC foe Lynn holds the No. 7.

Florida Southern and Florida Tech each earned top-50 rankings with a No. 34 and No. 47 rank, respectively.

The Green and Gold will begin its 2015 season at Coastal Georgia on Friday, Feb. 6th at 2:30 p.m.
