#15 Men’s Tennis Dominates Wayne State, 8-1

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The 15th-ranked Saint Leo men's tennis team took care of business at the Saint Leo Tennis Center on Friday afternoon as they defeated visiting Wayne St. (MI) 8-1.

The Lions (8-3) swept through doubles, using the momentum from a thrilling 9-8 (7-4) victory by Jacobo Gonzalez and Fons Verberne that push the Lions into singles play on a high note.  Saint Leo picked up singles wins at every spot except for No. 4 singles en route to the victory.  Every singles win came in straight sets and nearly all the wins were by 6-3 scores.

Winners of their third consecutive match, the Lions will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they welcome a tough Southern Indiana team into the Saint Leo Tennis Center.
