No.19 Men’s Tennis Bounces UAH in Road Finale, 8-1

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Saint Leo men's tennis team (8-4) won their fifth match in their last six outings as they trounced the University of Alabama Huntsville Chargers (2-5), 8-1, Sunday afternoon at the Tiger Tennis Courts on the campus of Stillman College.

The Lions started the afternoon tilt with a 3-0 doubles defeat, before seeing victories at all but one singles match.

The most notable doubles victory came at No.2 doubles as Jacobo Gonzalez-Tarrio and Antoine Raffaelli rejected Bruno Medeiros and Raphael Oliveira, 8-1.

Saint Leo rode the push into the singles portion of the regional tilt. While there, the Lions No.4-flighted Jake Fleischer defeated Bruno Medeiros handedly, 6-0, 6-1. 

The Lions will return to action Friday, March 9 when they host No.9-ranked Columbus State at the Saint Leo Tennis Center. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
