No.19 Men’s Tennis Breezes Through Regional Doubleheader
FLORENCE, Ala. – The No.19-ranked Saint Leo men's tennis got back on the winning track as they swept a pair of regional foes in North Alabama and Delta State, 9-0, Saturday afternoon from the UNA Tennis Complex.
In a rare doubleheader, the men's tennis team did not drop a single match as they recorded straight-set victories in all but one contest.
Eight Lions recorded at least one win, including Victor Lozier who anchored a quartet of Lions who went 4-0.
Against North Alabama, Antoine Raffaelli highlighted the Lions early match with an impressive 6-1, 6-0 win
After jumping up on No.41 Delta State 3-0 after doubles, the Lions saw another solid singles effort as sophomore Jake Fleischer keyed the win with a 6-3, 6-2 win.
The Lions will continue their three-match road swing with a trip to Samford University where they will challenge Gulf South Conference opponent Alabama-Huntsville. First serve is set for 10 a.m.
