Men's swimming dominates double-dual

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's swimming two took down both Rollins College and Division III Trinity University (Texas) in a double-dual meet on Saturday afternoon at the Bowman Center Pool.

Saint Leo took down Rollins, 187.0-63.0, and Trinity, 174.0-82.0

The Lions dominated the meet on Saturday afternoon, taking first in every race on the day. Jan Urbaniak and Henrik Dahrendorff both earned 'B-Cut' times. Urbaniak took the 1000 Free with a time of 9:32.21, and Dahrendorff took first in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:01.74.


The Lions took the 400 Free Relay with Milosz Mikicin, Hunter Bains, Michael Southward, and Kane Klimczak with a time of 3:11.64, and took second with Lucas Dengler-Harles, Luka Vulic, Dahrendorff, and Casey Klaus followed with a time of 3:11.89.

They also took first in the 200 Free with Mikicin, Dahrendorff, Bains and Vulic finishing in a time of 1:33.87.

Dahrendorff finished with a first in the 100 Breast with a time of 56.20, while Urbaniak added a first in the 500 Free with a 4:37.27.

Vulic added two wins as he took the 200 Free, 1:44.70, and the 100 Free, 48.21. Mikicin added two as well, taking home the 100 Back, 49.94, and the 100 Fly, 50.69.

Logan Lamb won the 200 Fly with a 1:59.93, and Christian Cioffi added a 50 Free win with a 21.92 finish.

The Lions also saw Hunter Bains take a win in the 200 back, 1:53.87, and Gabe Langner took the 200 IM, 1:59.47.


Saint Leo men's swimming heads to Tampa on Friday, Jan. 27 for a 3 p.m. dual.
