Olson Competes at NCAA DII Men’s Swimming Championship: Final Day Recap

MANSFIELD, Texas – After finishing the 100-Yard Freestyle Preliminary round in 15th place, Saint Leo men's swimmer Tim Olson competed in the Consolation Round of the 100-Free on the final day of competition at the NCAA Division II Men's Swimming Championship.  Olson picked up a position and finished 14th in the Consolation Round, touching with a time of 45.01.

Earning the Championship banner in the 100-Free was Wayne State's Andrey Seryy, setting a new record with a time of 43.91.  Two Sunshine State Conference schools participated in the final two rounds of the day, with Florida Southern joining Olson in the Consolation heat.  The Mocs' Stephen Swan touched at 44.50, good for 11th place, while Robert Swan finished 16th with a time of 45.70.

Olson concludes his trip to the DII Championships on a high note, finishing with the highest placement out of the three events he competed in.
