SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo junior Michael Cozzi has been given a nod on the CollegeSwimming.com's Counsilman-Hunsaker Swimmer of the week list, announced by site officials, Tuesday.
Cozzi had three wins to help his team to a dual-meet sweep as the Lions defeated Sunshine State Conference opponents Rollins and Florida Tech by scores of 98-15, and 100-13, respectively. The East Hampton, Conn. native posted an NCAA "B" time in the 200-Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:43.28. Cozzi went on to post another NCAA "B" time with a mark of 46.37 in the 100-Yard Free, and earned a top spot finish in the 500-Free, touching with a time of 4:54.80. He concluded the dual-meet by helping the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay team to a first place touch with a time of 1:26.80.
