Saint Leo, Fla. (May 1, 2008) - Saint Leo University women's swimmer Julie Carusone (So., High Springs, Fla.) will be featured this weekend on CBS Sports presentation of "Championships of the NCAA,” which is scheduled to air on Saturday, May 3 at 1:00 p.m. ET, 10:00 a.m. PT.  The one-hour special will chronicle the 17 NCAA winter sport championships.

Carusone posted four All-American finishes at the 2008 NCAA Division II Swimming Championships. She single-handedly posted a “team” total of 54 points to help Saint Leo finish 18th.  She was fourth in the 400-yard IM, and sixth in the 200 IM, 100 and 200 Breaststroke events.  Her efforts also earned her the 2007-08 Saint Leo Female Athlete of the Year.

The sophomore was also a four-time All-American as freshman when she was fourth in the 200 IM, eighth in the 400 IM and sixth in both the 200 and 400 Breaststroke events at the 2006 NCAA Division II Swimming Championships.  Carusone’s “team” total in 2006 gave the Lions a 17th place finish nationally.
