INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After a historic 13-1-1 regular season and a Sunshine State Conference regular season title, the Saint Leo men's soccer team was selected to the NCAA South Region tournament. The Lions, who finished second in the region, will host the No. 3 seeded University of West Florida Argonauts on Saturday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m.
The winner of the contest on Saturday will advance to the second round of the NCAA Super Region 2 and battle the No. 1 seeded Rollins College Tars.
Saint Leo and West Florida met previously this season, when the Lions traveled to Pensacola, Fla. to kick off the 2013 season on September 6. After a grueling 90 minutes of play, Saint Leo took home the match with a 1-0 victory.
Since then, the Argonauts have compiled a 14-4-1 record and recently captured the Gulf South Conference tournament title.
