SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo men's soccer junior defender Chris Lavie has been named Daktronics All-South Region Second Team, it was announced Monday by Daktronics officials.
Lavie, a native of Saint Michel Sur Orge, France, was an instant impact for the Lions' defense assisting the team to six shutouts and guiding them to an appearance as the fifth seed in the SSC Tournament.
He tallied a team-best 1,434 minutes of playing time and made starts in 15-of-16 games.
Seven Sunshine State Conference members earned a spot on the second team, with 18 total SSC student-athletes making up the first and second team squads.
The team is voted on by the NCAA Division II members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA).
