BOCA RATON, Fla. – Although their season is now in the books, the Saint Leo men’s soccer team received one more individual award as senior forward Eusebio Montoya was named to the 2008 Sunshine State Conference All-Tournament team.

Montoya earned a spot on the team after an outstanding quarterfinal round game against Nova Southeastern where he scored two goals and was seemingly playing with the Sharks’ defense in the 3-1 win last Tuesday night.  Although he could not break through in the semifinal loss to Tampa, Montoya finished the conference tournament as the Lions’ top scorer where he played 175 minutes, put 10 shots toward goal and had four points.

The Smithfield, N.C. native finished the season as the Lions’ best scorer, dropping in 14 goals in 16 games and earning  a Sunshine State Conference First Team selection.  He helped lead the Lions to a 10-7-1 overall record and a third-place finish in the conference.
