April 19, 2011 | Men's Lacrosse Lions Land Two on Deep South All-Tournament Team SAINT LEO, Fla. – Despite their semifinal round exit from the Deep South Conference Tournament with the loss to Florida Southern last Thursday, the Saint Leo men’s lacrosse team still managed to land two veterans on the DSC All-Tournament Team when it was released on Tuesday. April 11, 2011 | Men's Lacrosse Obermeyer Named DSC Freshman of the Year WINGATE, NC - Saint Leo’s Matt Obermeyer has been named the 2011 Deep South Conference Freshman of the Year. Mars Hill College senior attack Tyler Farmer has been named the league’s Player of the Year. Florida Southern coach Marty Ward and Lenoir-Rhyne’s Greg Paradine earn co-Coach of the Year honors. All-conference awards were handed out on Monday after a coaches vote was held Sunday afternoon. Obermeyer has netted 33 goals on the year, leading all freshmen and ranking third in the conference. He also has five assists, and ranks sixth in the DSC with 3.17 points per game. Seventeen of his 33 goals came during conference play.
April 10, 2011 | Men's Lacrosse Schedule Announced for Deep South Conference Tournament WINGATE, NC - The 2011 Deep South Conference Tournament will take place this week, starting Tuesday afternoon, league officials announced Sunday. The seven-team conference will be split into a north and south region for the tournament, with the winner of each region meeting for the championship game hosted by Saint Leo University on Sunday, April 17.

April 3, 2011 | Men's Lacrosse Lions Unable to Rally for Win against Lenoir-Rhyne HICKORY, NC – The Saint Leo men’s lacrosse team was surprised by the host Lenoir-Rhyne Bears as the Lions dropped a 10-8 decision in Deep South Conference action on Sunday afternoon.
April 1, 2011 | Men's Lacrosse Lions Fall to #12 Mars Hill in Deep South Action MARS HILL, NC – Tim Burns scored six goals to lead 12th-ranked Mars Hill past Saint Leo by an 18-8 final in Deep South Conference men’s lacrosse action on Friday night in Western North Carolina. Mars Hill improves to 8-3 overall and 4-1 in the conference, while Saint Leo falls to 5-5 and 2-2 in the league.
