How it happened
Q | The visiting Mocs jumped on the Lions early, opening on a 4-0 lead in the opening quarter. It was a Kyle Pauwels pop-in off a Jake Gilmour dish across the face of the net that got the Lions on the board. However, FSC would snag another before the close of the quarter. The Mocs went 6-7 on the face in the first quarter and grabbed 14 ground balls to Saint Leo's 6. | FSC 5-1

Q | Florida Southern would extend their lead to 6-1 with a man-up goal at the 12:18 mark. The Lions would tack on back-to-back goals as Josh Kaufling ripped an unassisted outside shot, and a few minutes later Charlie Kurtenbach would dance around the defender to get one of his own. However, the Mocs would add another to their line, making it 7-3. Kyle Pauwels would respond with his second goal just a minute later, but in the final three and half minutes of the half, the Mocs would extend the lead to 10-4. | FSC 10-4

Q | The Mocs would score as the first goal of the second half just 40-seconds into the action. But less than 20 seconds later, Jake Kavanagh picked up the ground ball and sped down the field to find Pauwels for the score and Pauwels 100th career goal. Jake Gilmour added his first score of the game on a man-up opportunity, and an Anthony Visintin snipe would make it 11-7 with 7:53 to play. However, over the final seven minutes, only one goal would be scored, and that game by the stick of Florida Southern at the 2:20 mark. | FSC 12-7

Q | Anthony Visintin tallied two straight goals in the opening 90 second of action and cut the lead to just three goals. Gilmour would add another for the Lions, making it 12-10 with 11:02 to play. The Mocs would answer with a goal at 10:07 before Visintin would rip his fourth goal to take it back to a two-goal deficit. Florida Southern tallied two more, making it 15-11. Pauwels would tack on his fourth of the game of a dish from Ethan Ticehurst, and 30 seconds later, Charlie Kurtenbach would score with 2:59 left in the game. Unfortunately for the home team, the Mocs were able to run out the remaining time. | FSC 15-13
