Lions Sweep Final SSC Player of the Week Awards
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Saint Leo sophomore M Dylan Yontz (Penn Yan, N.Y.) recorded a hat trick and an assist for four points to lead the Lions to an 11-7 win over Rollins in the final regular season game. Yonts scored the first goal of the game and then assisted on the second to give Saint Leo a 2-0 lead through one period. He scored the game-winning goal on a man-up opportunity to begin the fourth quarter. The Lions' win gave them the No. 3 seed in the first-ever SSC Men's Lacrosse Championship.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Saint Leo sophomore G Dave Moore (Lake Mary, Fla.) made 12 saves and allowed just seven goals in an 11-7 win over Rollins in the regular-season finale. Moore faced 30 shots and recorded a .632 save percentage in the victory. The Lions' win gave them the No. 3 seed in the first-ever SSC Men's Lacrosse Championship.
