Askerberg was a solid on the defensive end for the Lions, competing in 14-of-15 games and making 13 starts… Playing a defensive position that does not often garner many offensive statistics, Askerberg posted one shot…He amassed 12 ground balls and forced five turnovers...Defensively, he helped lead a nationally-ranked defense that held opponents to just 7.47 goals-per-game, 112 goals, and a .252 shooting percentage.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2009)
