Saint Leo, Fla. ( March 17, 2007) – The Saint Leo University lacrosse team (3-4) ended a brief two-game losing streak with a 17-5 win over Lees McRae College (0-5) on Saturday afternoon at University Field.

Andrew Murdock (So., Orlando, Fla.) and Benjamin Brigham (So., Scituate, Mass.) each scored four goals in the game, while Murdock added a pair of assists.  Chris Storrie (So., Syracuse, N.Y.) added three goals, and Ryan Harris (Sr., Vestal, N.Y.) chipped in two goals and three assists in the win.

The Lions were in total control from the very beginning, as they outscored the Bobcats 4-0 in the opening period.  SLU eventually led 8-2 at the break, and a 6-1 advantage in the third put the game out of reach for the visitors.

Saint Leo goalie David Erdman (Fr., Mt Sinai, N.Y.) had to make just seven saves in the game, while DJ Garry (Fr., Greenwood, Ind.) made a pair of saves in the fourth quarter.

The Lions will host No. 7 Limestone College on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. in their next game.
