Saint Leo, Fla. (November 22, 2006) – Saint Leo University head lacrosse coach Brad Jorgensen announced that the team the early signing of attackman Brian MacMahon.

MacMahon has been a four-year letterwinner at Notre Dame Academy in Middleburg, Va. where will be team captain this year.  He was a First Team CAC Conference selection last year, as he scored 51 goals and 27 assists.  He also had 25 goals and 10 assists during his sophomore season, while adding 12 goals and three assists as a freshman.

In addition to his one the field success, MacMahon has been an honor student throughout his time at Notre Dame Academy and is a member of National Honor Society.

The Saint Leo lacrosse team will open its second-ever season on February 17, 2007 at Savannah College of Art and Design (1:00 p.m.).  A year ago, the Lions finished 3-9 during the inaugural year of competition.
