The 2009 season, his fourth at the helm of Saint Leo Men's Golf, saw the golfers compete in four spring tournaments and one dual-match with the University of Tampa, which they won. The Lions highest team finish was a second-place result in the Minnesota State Spring Invitational. It was a year that also saw juniors Cole Cisbani and Mark McGuire invited as individuals to the NCAA South Region Tournament in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The players and their coach spent three days at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at the Shoals where McGuire finished 53rd and Cisbani carded in 85th place.
Cisbani also helped junior Matt Cornuet earn a spot as an individual at the 2008 NCAA South Region Tournament in Austin, Texas. Cornuet finished the event in 43rd-place.
Cisbani's 2006-07 team posted the program's first-ever team title when the Lions claimed victory in the Saint Leo Fall Invitational at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club. The team shot a program-best score of 884 (299-294-291) to win the title while freshman Mark McGuire was individual medalist. The Lions also set a team record for lowest 18-hole score with a final round 291 to overcome a two-stroke deficit and win by 10 strokes over first round leader Johnson & Wales University.
