Men’s golf finishes Bobcat Invitational in 13th


EATONTON, Ga. – Saint Leo men's golf finished the Bobcat Invitational at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee in 13th place out of 17 teams after a third round 306. The Lions ended with a team total of 912 (+72) for the three-round tournament on the 6,730-yard course.

Ryan Gendron capped off his Bobcat Invite with a six-over 76, for a tournament total of 220 (+10). Gendron finished in 12th out of the 90 total golfers.

CJ Tyler climbed two spots in the final standings to finish in 24th at 224 (+14) after a third round 73 (+3), to which he added to his 73 and 78 from Monday.

Casey Bannon finished just ahead of Riley Goss as they both shot a third round 79's (+9) to end at 234 (+24) and 235 (+25), respectively. Bannon concluded the tournament in 65th as Goss fell in at 72nd.

Simon Knutsson wrapped up the quintuplet with an 81st place finish after a third round 78 (+8). Knutsson finished in Eatonton with a 239 (+29).

Lynn won their second consecutive Bobcat Invitational title with an 872 (+32) behind Manuel Torres' one-over 211 total. Torres tied with Chandler Blanchet of West Florida at 211 (+1). Torres shot 69-71-71 where Blanchet went 71-70-70. Blanchet won the individual title with a par on hole No. 1 in the tie breaker. 

Saint Leo will return to action on April 3rd when they travel to Pensacola, Fla. to take part in the three-round two-day Argonaut Invitational hosted by West Florida.
